Projects Director

Pipex px® have appointed a Projects Director, Mr Julian Ludlow who will assume his role at the end of May 2012.

An experienced business and project leader, prior to joining Pipex px® Julian delivered major design and development projects across several market sectors, including defense research and development, systems engineering and electrical transmission and distribution. Julian also has experience in project portfolio management, business management, strategic planning and implementing change in support of strategic business requirements.

Prior to working in Project Management, Julian was a Commissioned Officer in the Royal Navy’s Submarine Service. Here he led teams as part of operations around the world in support of UK defense and foreign policies, as well as holding responsibilities for the delivery of complex planning, training and development, administration and staff management.

Julian’s immediate aims upon joining Pipex px® are to learn the business and meet the project teams across the group before determining medium and long term aims to ensure that Pipex px® continues to meet its commitment to producing excellence through effective project management as it continues to grow.

Julian is a PRINCE2 Practitioner and Management of Portfolios Practitioner.

Julian commented;

“I am looking forward to meeting the teams around the country and settling into the Pipex px® business. I recognise this is a new role for the group, and one which everyone will take time to adjust to, however I know that the team I am joining is second to none and that Pipex px® is an outstanding business, and I have every confidence that we, as a team, will continue to exceed expectations as we deliver the strategic business plan, and have fun in doing so.”

In addition to the above Pipex px® had other vacancies which were successfully filled by internal applicants as follows:-

Wynn Stait – Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the Group.

Chris Brown – Managing Director Designate, for all business operations in Scotland, effective immediate.

Jon Barr – Operations Director for the Group.

Will Broom – Engineering Manager for the Group.
