Pipex px® teams achieve amazing results

We are delighted to announce the outstanding results of one of the largest group training sessions ever undertaken here at Pipex px®.

The Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) is the largest management body in the UK and we choose 3 of their level 3 courses to be administrated in parallel at our facility based in Plymouth.

Run by GEL Southwest the Leadership & Management, Enterprise & Entrepreneurship & Coaching programmes were individually designed to target specific skills, knowledge and personal ability modules including;

  •  Solving Problems and Making Decisions
  • Understanding Leadership
  • Understanding how to Motivate to improve performance
  • Understanding the Communication Process in the workplace
  • Assessing Own Suitability for Enterprise
  • Assessing the Viability of a Business Idea
  • Developing a Business Plan
  • Presenting a Business Plan
  • Understanding Good Practice in Workplace Coaching
  • Undertaking Coaching in the Workplace
  • Reflecting on Workplace Coaching Skills

33 Pipex px® employees committed to the 3 month training plan, and upon completion we are pleased to reveal that every single person passed the Level 3 Qualifications - with some employees taking more than one course a grand total of 48 qualifications were achieved, a truly outstanding result!

Pictured right is Pipex px® CEO Bill Murphy personally congratulating Accounts Manager Julia Mockett on her qualification certification, one of his primary roles is the welfare and development of over 160 members of staff at the company’s 3 UK site locations. He remarked;

“The development and support of our employees has always been a core element of our business ethos and one which we are extremely proud of.   Training success on this level is a tremendous achievement and provides a valuable contribution to our continuous journey of improved staff engagement.”

Ryan Turner, Pipex px® CAD Manager also commented;

“The training received by ILM, provided me with crucial information that I required to better myself as a team manager. Each session was tailored to our specific requirements and was delivered by the instructor, in a way that could be understood by all. By participating in both the Leadership and Management and Coaching courses, this has enabled me to provide further training to my team and enhance its overall efficiency.”

Following the certificate presentation this week, Kevin Holt, Managing Director at GEL Southwest said:

“Working with the Pipex teams was great fun and just as inspiring for our trainers as it was for the learners.  Every one of my trainers commented on how hungry the learners were for new knowledge and how equally enthusiastic they were to apply it.  The project work completed as part of the various courses was of a high standard and the projects on the Enterprise Award in particular, revealed an ability to stretch minds away from operations and into the realms of exploring new products, new markets, new business etc.”
