Product  Overview:

Manufactured from corrosion resistant composites supplied by Strongwell® - the world’s largest pultrusion company and recognised leader in the pultrusion industry.

Pipex px® design and manufacture stairs, hop-overs and ramps to suit exact client requirements using EXTREN® structural FRP profiles, ranging from simple step-over platforms through to structural ramps.

  • Floor loadings from 1.5kN UDL with high point loads
  • Support structures designed to be free standing or supported by other existing structures
  • Novel connection systems and joint design allow us to select optimum profiles for specific requirements
  • Design calculations and Certificates of Conformity for materials used
  • DURADEK® flooring can be open mesh or solid top, gritted or smooth
  • Choice of MARRS® or SAFRAIL® handrails can be fitted depending on performance requirements, secured to the EXTREN® FRP stair or platform stringers
  • Stair stringers usually made from EXTREN® FRP channel profiles with bolted end connections to suit
  • DURADEK® stairtreads feature a “D” shaped nosing bar – usually colour contrasted with the rest of the tread for additional safety
  • Open mesh or solid surface treads can be specified
  • Tread riser plates can also be fitted where requested.

Pipex px® supply Strongwell FRP Pultruded Profiles, EXTREN and  EXTREN 23 that are 3rd party verified as fully compliant to BS EN 13706  (i.e. to required minimum mechanical properties NOT average or “typical” mechanical properties) and batch- certified as per BS EN 10204 Certificate Type 3.1 (first article testing); EXTREN is compliant to E17 Grade as standard & EXTREN 23 is compliant to E23 Grade as standard.
